Key Responsibilities:

  1. Board Governance: Attend regular board meetings and participate actively in discussions.
    Collaborate with fellow board members to establish policies and strategic goals that promote the mission of the Justice Degree Title Exchange.

  2. Program Oversight: Review and approve new degree title applications and changes to existing programs to ensure they meet accreditation and educational standards.
    Monitor the compliance and performance of member institutions regarding curriculum and degree offerings.

  3. Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitate communication and collaboration between academic institutions, employers, and industry representatives to align educational outcomes with labor market needs.
    Represent the board at conferences, workshops, and community events to promote programs and initiatives.

  4. Research and Data Analysis: Conduct research on current trends in justice education and maintain awareness of legislative and regulatory changes affecting the field.
    Analyze data and provide insights on the effectiveness and impact of degree programs within the justice sector.

  5. Advocacy and Outreach: Advocate for policies and practices that support the integrity and recognition of justice degrees among academic and professional communities.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Associates, Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Political Science, Education, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.

  • Experience: Prior experience in academia, policymaking, or law enforcement; involvement in degree program development is a plus.

  • Skills: Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills; ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.

  • Knowledge: Understanding of accreditation processes, degree titles, and workforce trends in the justice field.
